The swamplands - Page 4 Empty Re: The swamplands

Post by Red Wed Oct 29, 2014 12:25 am

I growl low and lick my self. I splash the fae with the murky water not pleased at all. I whine and stare down at the dark waters and shiver not wanting to go back in. I look up at the others and then at the water terrified.

Alisen feels the splash and smiles again still gentile. “Sorry, Red was it? I didn’t mean to cause you to be angry; I merely thought it was humorous that you are a little bit clumsy like my brother.” She explains still trying not to look dominant with her height. She still looks at the ground. She is afraid to see the wolves’ expression. Her long white fur slightly wet, and her red pools motionless.

(IM BACK!!!!!!!) I grumble and sniff the water. I hit the water with my paw and dart back yelping. I whine and inch forward terrified of water. I charge forward into the water in a yelping fit. I reach the other side panting eyes wide in fear. "I-I-I did it." I whine and shake my pelt.

The swamplands - Page 4 Empty Re: The swamplands

Post by Timber Sat Nov 01, 2014 12:06 am

TIMBER waited for Luna to show up, and began getting impaitent. Finally, the bright white wolf appeared from the darkness of her dream. Summoning Luna had been a trick learned from Nara, after Timber had told her about being able to talk to the white wof. Nara'd been startled, because apparently Luna was only supposed to talk to Alphas, like they had her on speed dial or something. 'Finally.' Timber muttered, a bit sarcasticly. Luna frowned, dipping her head down in a slight appoligetic. Timber shrugged, sitting down and wrapping her tail around her paws. "I'd like a bit of an explanation, please. Naras worried about something, she clearly isn't going to tell me, so could you possibly?" Most wolves were polite, they bowed down to Luna. But Timber wasn't in the mood, someone had gotten hurt, or more likely died, and she wanted infromation. Lune sighed. "Timber, dear, are you sure? I don't want..." In other words, she didn't want Timber killing herself because of new infromation. Timber forced a laugh. "Calm down. No repeats, I promise." She said, tilting her head with an innocent expression. Luna shrugged, "If you end up here in a few minutes for good, I'll personally escort you down to the dark wolf." She said, then the blackness faded into a colorful image, and Luna had dissapeared. Timber stood, excited and worried about what it was going to show. She hadn't awoken yet, but it felt real. She saw Pine struggle up the hill she recognized as the packs territory, and noticed Fern rush to greet him. He staggered, uttering three words. 'She is alive.' Then fell to the ground with a soft thud. Timber wanted to shut her eyes and cry, but her curiousity about the rest of the happenings won her over. The image switched to a black wolf with yellow eyes, who's face filled the entire screen. He laughed coldly, seemingly staring straight at Timber. She shrunk back, ears pinned against her head. "Hello, Daughter. I have arranged a visit, and will be there within a month. Don't bother running back to your pack, I've already taken care of those wolves. Nara cannot protect you, but you could protect her. Come meet me, I've already started coming your way." His voice was calm and jagged, though his news was terrifying. "Sweet dreams, dear." He chuckled, and the screen faded to black. Lightning. She snarled, hatred of her father bubbling up inside, making the black appear red. With effort, she forced herself back into conciousness, where she sat at the river. Then looked up at the darkening sky, and howled.

She left Nara standing there in shock, running across the land in search of the dark forest, on the way to where her father was. She swam through the river without even flinching. Within an hour, it wouldn’t even matter anymore. No one, not even Luna, could stop her. She reached the forest, and turned to look back once more. She knew no one could hear her, but she howled. Anger, fear, hatred. Those were the things you’d think she howled about, but no. She was happy. She would see Pine soon, and talk to her mother. Play with Fern, and listen to Frost’s stories. She could apologize to Golden and Storm, for not being able to stop their deaths. Maybe even make peace with Akuma. Death was not the end, only a new beginning in her mind.

She walked into the forest, sitting down in a spot where darkness was almost opaque. She didn’t want anyone to have to see her death. Sure enough, soon she heard a rough wolfs voice in the shadows. “My dear Timber, what a lovely surprise.” Lightning said, and she smiled. “Oh father, so nice to see you again.” She said, trying not to let sarcasm slip into her voice. Then, after pausing a moment, she spoke again, almost whispering. “Such a shame I have to kill you.” Then she lunged out, acting on pure instinct. She remembered challenging Flower for Beta, and winning. That was the only real fight she’d been in in a while, but surprise was everything.

Lightning was knocked to the ground, and she slashed at his throat. Blood gushed out, but he didn’t seem to feel it immediately. He got up, staggered once, then bit down on her side, with a small crack pain flowed through her. Burning agony, but the blood loss was much worse for Lightning. He was almost unconscious, and she managed to raise her paw above his neck. “You really think I’d believe you would let you lie to me? I knew you’d go straight to the others after my death.” She managed, breathing labored. Lightning gurled a inaudible response. She hesitated before slamming her paw into his neck. What this right? She groaned, feeling unsteady. Yes, it was now or never. She slammed her paw down, he was too weak to even cry out. The great Lightning was dead, he’d never hurt another wolf again. “That was for all the wolves up there, watching this and finally getting revenge. I fae is just as strong as a brute, and I hope you remember that when Luna brings you downstairs. For possessing me, and making me hurt Nara, Red, and Silver. For Pine and mum.” At least, that’s what she tried to say, but she couldn’t. With a tiny thud, she too fell to the ground. But she smiled. She’d had her way, after all. Lightning would kill no more, and no one could mourn her loss. They wouldn’t know she was dead, out there in the forest. Happiness and warmth flooded through her, and she died with a smile on her snout.
She was in the room with Luna, but it was white now. Beautiful and stunning. Luna shook her head as she walked over. But she didn’t scold Timber. She understood, and Timber knew that. The white wolf howled, and wolves appeared from all around, to welcome to newly dead. Pine was the first to rush forward. He wrapped Timber in a hug, it was the first time she’d seen him cry. She hugged him as well, though no one seemed to speak. There was not much need too, everyone had been watching. The next wolf to come forward was black as night, who licked Timbers ear like only a mum would. Nightmare. The black wolf seemed hesitant, as if she thought Timber might hate her. So Timber stood on her hind legs for a moment, to lick her mother's ear back. Everything was forgiven.

(blahblahblah, sudden and all, but it's confusing for me to have her alive in one and dead in another. Sorry, she's dead. Eh. Not the full story... but basicly her maniac father wanted to kill her, so he'd find the others as well and probs kill them, and she sacrificed herself. Happy ending! yay!)

The swamplands - Page 4 Empty Re: The swamplands

Post by Red Sat Nov 01, 2014 12:21 am

After drying my pelt I see Timber had been gone a long time. I rise and go and search for her. I dash around nose to the ground trying to find the red wolf. I whine the smell of death and blood seeping into my nose and could it be no! I dash toward the horrid smell to find a mess. "No!" I yelp seeing the lifeless body of Timber. I walk over to her and lie my paw on he chest, nothing. My ears flatten and my eyes widen in terror this couldn't be true. I howl to tell the others to come and fast. I lick Timbers wounds not giving up and dreading the thought that it might be to late. Tears stream down my rust face and I lie cobwebs on the wounds just to be sure even though I wasn't. "Timber please be ok." I whine.

Alisen runs after the red male and sees the timber, she bows and lays by her. She puts her head between her front legs on the ground. “I am sorry for your lost sire,” Alisen says o the male. She looks at the ground not having the power or dignity to look him in the eyes. “She did it to help, I can feel her strength.” She insists. Her white fur cluttered with moss and filth from the ground and swamp. She ignores it focused on her thought and the surrounding feelings. She can’t focus as she can tell there was a dark entity here. She contains the anger she feels from it’s spiritual pressure.

"No she she isn't." I whine shaking my rusty head trying to deny the fact that she was dead. My green eyes flick toward the huge brute with wounds on his body. "You!" I snap fur raised and I walk toward the body and smack its head with a foreleg at full force hating the being that had taken the life of Timber. Tears streamed off my lower jaw and I stop it was already dead it could feel no pain like Timber couldn't feel any more pain remembering when she had given up. I go back to her limp body and nudge it again denying the fact that there was nothing I can do.

I move my body showing her the battered body of Timber and the brute who killed her. I wipe the tear off my face "She's gone up to the stars." I whine and I look back to the two bodies. "The brute killed her and well I guess she kinda killed him too." I whine and head back to the mess.

"Silver its useless it only makes a bigger mess." I bark and nudge her away. "He can't feel pain from us but I'm sure where ever he is gonna get it." I bark try to reassure Silver. Then I drag the brute's body then toss it in the river and I smile as it sinks. I sigh and head back toward the three well two. "Where shall we bury her?" I ask them.

Alisen slowly stands and lifts her head she squints and looks around. She looks at the timber then looks into the direction of the lone tree. “A suggestion is the lone tree,” It has not been bothered much and it’s beautiful.” Alisen suggests slightly looking at the silver wolf. She then looks back at the river behind her and sees blood surface from the male beast’s carcass. She stares for a while, her body still her tail dipped. Her red eyes stuck on the site.

"Ok sounds great." I grab her scruff and pull her toward lone tree. "Could ye help me she's to big." My bark muffled. I lie her down gently and pant waiting for Alisen to catch up to me. I frown and look at her body then at lone tree. I perk my ears and leap up at a dark shape. I land a dark butterfly like the one from before in my jaws.

I keep on dragging her eager to see the lone tree based on Alisen's description it sounded like the perfect place for Timber to rest.

(Evilness... but I was able to predict Silver would try to mutilate Lightning even more. Yay for me! I guess Lightning could have a watery grave after all... serves him right I guess. Any votes for Meldoy as my new chara?)

Post by Alisen Sat Nov 01, 2014 8:45 pm

Alisen hardly jogs and catches up to Red she then helps carry the carcass by lifting from beneath and carries the center of the timber using her back. Alisen avoids eye contact with either wolves. She looks to the ground as she takes each step another paw print appears in the spoil. Alisen stay silent so silent you could hear the drop of a pin and the sound of it when it hits the flour. Her fur begins to get drenched with blood, making her appear to be some sort of devil or demon. Alisen shades her head ~why is this death so painful, why must my stomach clench in horror, why such pain in my organs for this stranger. And why would that female risk her life like that her energy was strong but her feelings were some I’ve only felt with my brothers this makes no sense~ Alisen thinks to herself.

(Vote: yes she is ok but Alisen and her may fight a little on that dominants.)

Alisen continues to shake her head as they reach the tree. Then she lowers the carcass to the ground carefully. She begins to dig a hole as fast as she can. She remains silent around the two. Alisen can’t bring herself to look at the two. She looks at how they act around each other. And thinks ~what is with them acting all loving, even if they are mates they shant be so lovey dovy in this situation. Why do I even care ~ Alisen shakes her head as globs of dirt clump her filthy white fur that now has moss, blood dirt and is socked by water. Alisen seems to not pay any attention to how dirty she is her focus is on the grave.
